Friends of Amundsen’s 8th annual back-to-school fundraising campaign supporting an important Amundsen initiative.
This year’s Back to School Boost is raising money
for technology for students - Chromebooks and charging carts.
Chromebooks are the laptop computers our students use daily in the classroom as an integral part of academic learning. Amundsen classes rely on Chromebooks for a wide range of student activities including research projects, presentations, website design, classroom surveys, group project collaboration and much more.
Unfortunately, Amundsen’s current Chromebook inventory is too small, outdated and in disrepair.
With your help, this year’s Back to School Boost will provide much-needed new Chromebooks and Chromebook charging carts so our students have ample access to up-to-date classroom computer technology. The more money we raise as part of this campaign, the more new Chromebooks we can put in the hands of Amundsen students.

The 2025 Boost goal is to raise $55,000. This amount will purchase three Chromebook charging carts each stocked with 36 Chromebooks – a total of 108 new Chromebooks. Three Chromebooks carts will not meet Amundsen’s full need for updated Chromebooks, but it will significantly address the shortfall and enhance student learning.
