Friends of Amundsen (FOA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to aid Amundsen High School through fundraising, supporting students, staff, and parents, and promoting school spirit throughout the community.
The Back to School Boost was a tremendous success!
A big Friends of Amundsen thank you to the Viking community for your tremendous support of this year’s Back to School Boost. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $21,535, exceeding our fundraising goal and truly boosting Amundsen music. GO VIKINGS!

Let’s bring the “FUNK” back to the halls of Amundsen High School!
The Amundsen music program follows new safety protocols that prohibit students from sharing instruments and require expensive PPE. As a result, the music program has a severe shortage of band instruments and a long list of PPE needs. We need your help to make sure every student can play an instrument every day!
The 4th Annual Friends of Amundsen Back to School Boost will help fund the immediate needs of the music program to obtain additional instruments, as well as PPE to ensure the safety of our students. The goal is to raise $20,000 or more by September 30.
With this critical need for our students’ musical, academic and social emotional growth, no donation is too big or too small. Please donate at the level of your choice and contribute to the success of our music program for the 2021-22 school year and beyond!
